Cutter Granite Slabs Manufacturer in India | Ratani

Not every project needs a huge slab. A kitchen in an apartment, a bathroom vanity, or a run of window sills can all be done with narrower pieces that are easier to lift and fit. That is where granite cutter slabs come in, and they are one of the formats we produce most at Ratani.

How cutter slabs are made?

Granite leaves the quarry as large blocks. These blocks are then cut into slabs. The machine used decides the size of each slab.

Gangsaw slabs are cut on large multi-blade machines. They come out big and suit surfaces that need very few joints.

Cutter slabs are made on cutter machines. Big cutter slabs are cut on a large cutter machine with several blades. Small cutter slabs are cut on a smaller vertical multi-blade machine. This gives clean, accurate cuts.

Cutter slabs are narrower than gangsaw slabs. But they are still long enough for most countertops.

Granite slab sizes at Ratani

Our standard cutter slab is 180 x 60 cm. Beyond that, we produce two main cutter formats.

Small cutter slabs measure 65 to 100 cm by 180 to 330 cm, with a thickness from 1.6 cm to 3 cm. These are the slabs we recommend for kitchen worktops, wall tiles, and smaller jobs that need a clean, accurate cut.

Big cutter granite slabs are around 130 cm wide and 220 to 330 cm long. They come in 1.8 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm thickness and are used for kitchens and commercial surfaces.

Across our range, granite is available in 1.6, 2, 3, 4 and 5 cm thickness. We cut granite tiles too, in 60 x 60, 30 x 60 and 30 x 30 cm. Exact sizes can vary from one granite to another, depending on the block.

Cutter slabs vs. gangsaw slabs

The question of cutter slabs vs gangsaw slabs usually comes down to the job. Our gangsaw slabs are 260 x 160 cm, and on some granites they go up to 340 cm long and 220 cm high. That size makes sense for a large place or a feature wall where you want no joints at all.

For most other work, a cutter slab is the practical choice. An I-shaped, L-shaped or galley kitchen can usually be covered with cutter slabs, and the same goes for vanities and stair treads. Smaller slabs are easier to handle on site, need less space in a container, and leave less offcut waste.

Thickness is another difference. Gangsaw slabs are normally made in 2 cm and 3 cm, while cutter slabs are also offered in thinner 1.6 cm and 1.8 cm sizes.

Choosing the right thickness

For granite slabs for kitchen countertops, 2 cm and 3 cm are the most common choices worldwide. A 3 cm slab is stronger and better for heavy-use areas like kitchen islands and outdoor counters. A 2 cm slab is lighter and costs less to ship and works well when the countertop has full support underneath.

We would not suggest going below 1.6 cm for a countertop. Thin slabs cost less but can crack under a sudden knock, and replacing a countertop costs far more than the saving.

Colors we cut

Ratani offers a wide range of colours in cutter size. New Imperial Red has a deep red base with black and grey flecks, and each slab has its own natural variation. Hassan Green, quarried in south India, runs from dark forest green to a medium green with specks and veins through it. Moon White is a lighter option, cut with modern machines for accurate size and even thickness. Black granite is also available. And all the other colors we have listed on our website as well.

Who buys our cutter slabs?

As a cutter granite slabs manufacturer in India, we supply resellers, builders, distributors and importers. Fabricators like cutter slabs because one slab often covers one countertop run. Distributors take wholesale granite cutter slabs in mixed colours so they can keep stock for local customers. Importers abroad deal with us directly as an Indian granite slabs exporter, which keeps the chain short and makes it easier to ask questions about a particular lot.

Placing an order

If you are looking for a granite slab supplier in India, send us the color you want, the cutter size, thickness and finish, along with the quantity and your destination port. If the slabs are for a specific kitchen or project, a drawing helps us suggest the size that will waste the least stone.

We will reply with availability and a quote. For repeat orders, tell us if you need the shade to match an earlier lot, so we can check stock from the same quarry before cutting.
